This image was taken by the Cassini probe and shows Saturn eclipsing the sun. This is Saturn's shadow side, but it looks less shadowy than other planets because there's reflective light bouncing off of its rings.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE. See that little pale blue dot in the upper left portion of the rings? That's us! You're in this picture, too!

So, you know, smile. You never know when you might be getting your picture taken through the rings of a gas giant.
